Foo Fighters to headline BlizzCon 2011
Dave Grohl and co set to close this year's US video-game convention
The band will make their debut at the two-day event at Anaheim Convention Center in California on October 22.
Frontman Dave Grohl performed at the bash last year when he drummed with Hollywood star Jack Black's band Tenacious D. The annual convention is staged by Blizzard Entertainment to celebrate the gaming franchises Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo.

Meanwhile, Foo Fighters recently responded to a planned religious protest by the Westboro Baptist Church by performing a surprise comedy song in Kansas City.
Donning redneck beards, wigs and trucker hats, they took to the back of a pick-up truck to sing the specially penned 'Keep It Clean', their ode to same-sex loving.
The impromptu gig came after the church group, the subject of a number of Louis Theroux documentaries, announced they were going to picket the band's show due to their teaching of "fornication, adultery, idolatry and fags".
