The track also features Scott Reeder of Kyuss and Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen.

The Sound City soundtrack also features Paul McCartney and Nirvana's Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear, with whom Grohl teamed up with at the 12-12-12 Sandy benefit concert in New York on December 12. A studio recording of their track, 'Cut Me Some Slack' was put online on December 17.

The band will perform at the film's premiere at Sundance Film Festival on January 18. They will also play a second show at Los Angeles' Hollywood Palladium on January 31, the same night Sound City film makes its theatrical debut at the nearby Cinerama Dome.
