At the end of last month Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters appeared at The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to The Beatles tribute show.

Footage has now been placed online of Grohl's performance of 'Hey Bulldog', for which he was joined by Jeff Lynne of ELO. Click below to watch their version of the song. Introducing the track, Grohl said: "I can honestly say if it weren't for The Beatles, I would not be a musician. From a very early age, I loved their groove and their swagger, their grace and their beauty, their dark and their light." Grohl went on to call 'Hey Bulldog' a "quintessential Beatles rocker".

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr reunited on stage at the recording of The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to The Beatles. The show was recorded on January 27, one day after this year's Grammy Awards, and was aired on US television yesterday (February 9), exactly 50 years after the Beatles made their US television debut on The Ed Sullivan Show.

Pharrell Williams, Stevie Wonder, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran were also among the artists who performed live on the night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart reformed Eurythmics to perform their version of 'The Fool On The Hill'. Katy Perry sang 'Yesterday' and Pharrell Williams teamed up with Brad Paisley on 'Here Comes The Sun'.

The last two remaining members of The Beatles closed the show with Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney appearing together to perform 'With a Little Help From My Friends'. Both stars performed small solo sets before their reunion and were later joined by the ensemble of performers for a celebratory version of 'Hey Jude'.
