¡Forward, Russia! in mix tape bid

Band want fans to swap tapes

¡Forward, Russia! in mix tape bid

¡Forward, Russia! are asking fans to swop mixtapes on their forthcoming tour.

The band want fans to make tapes or CDs filled with their favourite tunes and they can then drop them into a special ’Mix Tape Swop Box’ at the gigs and, in return, take one out which is made by another fan.

The band have issues the following guidelines for fans wanting to trade tapes:

“1. The mix should be made on cassette or CD. (no eight tracks or mini discs please, they’ll just be rattling around the box at the end of the tour)

2. You should include a tracklist including artist and track name

3. Every track should be by a different artist, i.e. do not put two tracks on by the same artist if you can help it

4. Be as artistic as you like with your box and tracklist!

* if you make one mix, you may take one out
* if you make two mixes, you may take two out
* if you make one mix, you may not take two out"

Meanwhile, the band will play an Shockwaves NME Awards show on February 28 at London’s KOKO with Cursive, Kubichek! and Sometree.
