FOUR TET GET SERIOUS

Vinyl-only offering is to be backed by 11 dates around the UK...

Four Tet have confirmed details of a new single and UK tour.

'As Serious As Your Life' will be the first track to be lifted from electronica wizard Kieran Hebden’s massively-acclaimed 'Rounds' album.

Only available on vinyl, the 7" version has two new remixes of the original track from Hebden himself, while the 12" release consists of the original album version and one of the new remixes on one side and a 23-minute live version on the other. Both discs are released on October 20.

Hebden said of the track: "It's been evolving live in front of people. I don’t want to be stuck in music from the record, so I’ve totally brought in improvisation, which seems to be becoming much more acceptable now and much more like the free jazz that I really love."
