Foxy Brown assault case dismissed

Rapper is off the hook for alleged mobile phone attack

Foxy Brown assault case dismissed

An assault case against Foxy Brown has been dismissed after a ruling in Brooklyn, NY.

The rapper is off the hook for an incident in which she allegedly hit a woman over the head with a BlackBerry device after the woman said she was playing music too loudly in her car.

Justice Robert Miller in Brooklyn Supreme Court ruled that Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was never served with legal papers, reports the New York Post.

Brown’s neighbour Arlene Raymond had accused her of harassing her at her workplace as well as the mobile phone assault.

Brown pleaded guilty in May 2008 to menacing Raymond, and wrote a letter of apology to her.
