Odd Future's Frank Ocean won't officially release 'Nostalgia, Ultra' mixtape Frank Ocean Tickets
Singer ditches his plan of officially releasing his acclaimed mixtape

Odd Future's Frank Ocean has ditched plans to officially release 'Nostalgia, Ultra', the acclaimed mixtape he self-released last year.
Instead of releasing the mixtape, Ocean had pledged to focus his time into the writing and recording of his commercial debut album, which is due out later this year.
Writing on his Tumblr, Frank Ocean said, unequivocally, that "'Nostalgia, Lite' is never coming out". Before asking, "What (do) I look like a year later re-releasing my last album?"
This comes just a few weeks after Ocean claimed that The Eagles' Don Henley was threatening to sue him for his track 'American Wedding', a reinterpretation of The Eagles classic 'Hotel California', which appeared on the 'Nostalgia, Ultra' tape.
At the time, Ocean wrote on his blog:
Don Henley is apparently intimidated by my rendition of 'Hotel California'. He threatened to sue if I perform again. I think it's fucking awesome
It is unclear whether this alleged confrontation with Henley is behind the shelving of 'Nostalgia, Ultra', although Ocean has said he pushed the record aside to that he could stay "icy".
Frank Ocean appears on three of the tracks on Odd Future's 'OF Tape Vol 2', including a solo track titled 'White'. To read a full review of the album, pick up the new issue of NME, which is on UK newsstands and available digitally from tomorrow (March 21).
Odd Future will play a handful of tour dates in the UK and Ireland this month. The gigs kick off at Birmingham's O2 Academy on March 28, and end on April 2 at Dublin's Olympia.
