Frank Ocean shares studio picture as he works on second album

The R&B singer and Odd Future member is recording the follow-up to 2012's 'Channel Orange'

Frank Ocean has shared a photograph of himself recording his second album.

The picture of Ocean was taken by music video director Nabil, who worked on the videos for Ocean tracks ‘Pyramids’, ‘Swim Good’ and ‘Novacane’, and later posted by Ocean on his blog.

Posting the studio shot on Instagram, Nabil wrote: “Frank in the lab.. Making sophomore album game.” Frank Ocean released his debut album ‘Channel Orange’ in 2012. It followed a mixtape, titled ‘Nostalgia, Ultra’, which came out in 2011.

Ocean previously stated that he would not release any new music until this summer. Back in October 2013, Ocean responded to a fan question about new material on his Tumblr blog, saying “when summer comes round again”, when asked when he’d be releasing new music.

Since then, the R&B singer released the song ‘Hero’ with Diplo and Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of The Clash.
