Franz Ferdinand faced the most unlikely of stage invaders during their recent show in Birmingham.

The group appeared at the Birmingham NEC (November 16) when The CharlatansJohn Brookes decided to get involved, jumping on the stage and dancing around.

An eyewitness told NME.COM: “He came out of nowhere, he was carried off the stage by a beefy security guard, and it was only after the gig anyone realised who he was!”

Franz Ferdinand concluded their tour with a four-night stand at London’s Alexandra Palace (November 30-December 3).
