Franz Ferdinand are the latest addition to the Benicassim festival.

Other acts joining the Spanish event’s bill include The Rakes, Echo And The Bunnymen and Jay-Jay Johanson.

This year Benicassim – now in its eleventh year – will take place between July 20-23 and also feature The Sunday Driver, Venus, Dionysos and Teitur alongside the already confirmed Depeche Mode.

The festival normally takes place at the beginning of August, however the town's mayor said the reason behind the move was to keep the bash away from the Spanish holidays in August.

More UK visitors are expected next year, as Glastonbury is taking a year off.
