Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos is to have a book published later this year.
But it’s not an account of the rock’n’roll lifestyle – it’s a compilation of the food columns he’s been writing for The Guardian newspaper.
‘Sound Bites’ will be out later this year, and will feature additional new material.
Glasgow School of Art graduate Andrew Knowles, who is the band’s touring drummer and keyboard player, will illustrate the book.
Franz Ferdinand play T In the Park, Oxegen and The Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds festivals in the summer.
