T In The Park to release extra tickets

Anti-touting measures means there’s more for fans

T In Park organisers have announced more tickets are going on sale for this year’s festival.

Day tickets for the event, which takes place between July 9 and 8, are being released and will go on sale on June 3 at 9am.

Although the event sold out when it initially went on sale, the extra tickets have become available as the festival has fought back against ticket touts.

“These tickets include tickets that have been cancelled as part of the anti-touting systems that have been put in place,” explained a spokesperson for the event, adding that by limiting fans to two tickets per person they were able to stop anyone buying in excessive quantities this year.

“This means that T In The Park has been very successful with the systems put in place to deter ticket touting surrounding the event.”

In addition to the anti-touting measure, T In The Park has announced a new fence and exclusion zone to stop people without tickets from getting into the event, with organisers stressing “That there will be no tickets available to buy at the gates at T In The Park and if music fans do not have a ticket, they should not come to the site.”
