Franz Ferdinand are planning some special “surprises” for tonight’s show at T In The Park.
The band, who have just flown in to the Balado site from Europe where they’ve been on tour, said that their show tonight will be changed to give a special treat for their Scottish fans.
“It’s the highlight of not just the festival season for us, but the year,” singer Alex Kapranos said. “There’s going to be a couple of surprises at the end of the set, but I can’t really tell you what they are!”
Kapranos also said that it’s great to be playing so far up the bill. The first time they played, they had to plead with security to let them in.
He added: “We were talking about it on the way in. First time we played here was 2003 and we had an argument with the security guards on the path because they didn’t believe we were playing.”
Franz Ferdinand play before Red Hot Chili Peppers on the Main Stage tonight (July 8).
