Franz Ferdinand were joined by almost a dozen guest drummers during their show at T in the Park.

The band played second on the bill on a rain-drenched main stage tonight (July 8), behind Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Towards the end of the set, the group played 'Outsiders' from their second album, and the drummers from Sigur Ros, Maximo Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Cribs, Kaiser Chiefs (plus singer Ricky Wilson), Cut Copy, Sons & Daughters, The Feeling and Wolfmother joined in.

A friend of the band told NME.COM: "It wasn't rehearsed as such, the bands talked about it before the show and just had a crack."

The rest of the set saw Franz play some of their biggest hits including 'Do You Want To', 'Michael' and 'Take Me Out'.

The set list ran:

This Boy
Come On Home
Do You Want To
I'm Your Villain
Tell Her Tonight
L.G. Wells
Walk Away
Eleanor Put Your Boots On
Take Me Out
The Fallen
Darts Of Pleasure
Matinee
