Franz Ferdinand were joined onstage by 11 extra drummers during their set at the Carling Weekend: Reading Festival tonight (August 25) - including an NME.COM writer.

The band were joined by a host of celebrity tubthumpers during encore song 'Outsiders', including members of Kaiser Chiefs, The Long Blondes, Fields, Towers Of London and NME.COM's Alan Woodhouse.

Speaking afterwards, Woodhouse told us: "I was amazing. Err...well, I did my best."

Meanwhile, while Franz Ferdinand weren't relying on our drumming skills, they played highlights from their two albums, including 'Do You Want To', 'Take Me Out' and set closer 'This Fire'.

The set was:

'Come On Home'
'Auf Asche'
'Do You Want To'
'I'm Your Villain'
'Tell Her Tonight'
'Walk Away'
'Eleanor Put Your Boots On'
'Take Me Out'
'This Boy'
'Darts Of Pleasure'
'40 Ft'
'The Fallen'
'Evil And A Heathen'
'This Fire'
