Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos performed an impromptu version of ’Take Me Out’ in Canada on Saturday (December 2).

Kapranos performed the song as a duet with the Evaporators a local band from Vancouver.

Evaporators singer Nardwuar The Human Serviette introduced Kapranos as a “surprise guest.”

The newly bearded Franz Ferdinand singer said that the rain and snow in Vancouver made him think of his hometown in Glasgow.

Chart Attack reports that Kapranos joked with the audience about his career plans.

He said : "It's true, I am leaving Franz Ferdinand to become the guitar technician for The Evaporators."
