Franz Ferdinand are to release a book.

Following frontman Alex Kapranos' foray into restaurant journalism and the subsequent 2006 book ’Sound Bites’, the whole band are to be represented in print form.

Franz Ferdinand’s 2007 Annual is being sold via the band’s official site Franzferdinand.co.uk and recalling the 1980s heyday for annuals, features “problem pages, puzzles, stories, fact files and cut out dolls”.

The book was designed by guitarist Nick McCarthy’s sister Anne, and is self-published by the band.

Meanwhile, as previously reported, the band are about to start work on their third album, the follwo-up to 2005's 'You Could Have It So Much Better'.
