Franz Ferdinand have teamed up with another group to help them make one of their album tracks.

London songwriters The Mitchell Brothers have stepped up to the challenge after they contacted each other on MySpace.

Teddy, one half of the Mitchell Brothers, said: "A few hours later, Alex (Kapranos, Franz frontman) replied. So we went back and forth and sent the track via email."

Franz have tentatively begun work on the follow-up to 2005's 'You Could Have It So Much Better', though it is not expected to come out until 2008.

Franz Ferdinand have also recently covered the LCD Soundsystem track ’All My Friends’ for a bonus track on the single release.
