Band to showcase new album in small venues across Britain

Franz Ferdinand have announced details of a UK tour of small venues, where they will showcase material from their forthcoming third album.

The band are set to hit the road this month, kicking off the jaunt at the York Fibbers on June 21 and ending it at the Leeds Faversham on June 29.

NME.COM previously announced that Franz Ferdinand will play an intimate London show at the Macbeth venue on Monday (June 9).

The band are set to complete recording of their third album imminently. Tickets for the newly-announced shows will be available from 9am (BST) tomorrow (June 6).

Franz Ferdinand will play.

Omgg =\ Have Been Waiting 3 Years To See Them Live Again (I Know They've Played Places Since But They've Only Played Scotland And I Live In Brighton.. Also Am Only 16 And The Gigs Mostly Been Over 18)They Should Come Play Brighton Concordee =[ Only 500 Peeps :(:(

Can anyone get me one (better two) tickets for the Leeds show???It seems tickets will only be availible from the venues or shop in the town where the gig is and I don't live in Leeds :(

Mr Kapranos such a crap tour, the band should be playing an arena tour to go with this album like Coldplay are doing which will give a lot more fans the chance to see them, so please play the Birmingham NIA, please lads
