Franz Ferdinand and La Roux cover Blondie at Shockwaves NME Awards

Acts team up for unique collaboration at London ceremony

Franz Ferdinand teamed up with La Roux to cover Blondie's 'Call Me' at the Shockwaves NME Awards tonight (February 25).

The Scots band took to the O2 Academy Brixton stage alongside the highly-rated newcomer, performing the track they have contributed to the recent War Child covers album 'Heroes'.

Franz Ferdinand also played an amped up version of 'What She Came For' from new album 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand'.

The Cure will headline the Shockwaves NME Awards Big Gig at the O2 Arena in London on February 26, with NME.COM again bringing you full coverage.
