Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos has said he wants to write a musical.
The singer, who is on tour with his band in Australia at present, told radio station Triple J that he's had an idea about a musical for some time now, though he hasn't got round to writing it yet.
"I did have this amazing idea, I've been keeping it a secret for ages!" Kapranos said. "I think it would make an amazing musical."
Kapranos added that the musical would be about a modern day celebrity.
He added: "The thing is, what would make a great musical would be to pick a contemporary figure, like somebody from either current times of the last 10 years. Somebody who's had a big impact. And write it about them."
Kapranos then confirmed that he does have a celebrity in mind for the musical, but wouldn't say who. However, he did state that it wasn't a musician.
