Franz Ferdinand's Nick McCarthy has unveiled details of his second side-project album under the name Box Codax.

The guitarist plays under the name with his wife Manuela Gernedel plus German poet/lyricist Alex Ragnew.

They released their debut album 'Only An Orchard Away' in 2006 and will release its follow-up, 'Hellabuster', on May 9.

The album is a concept album about the adventures of a young boy called Hellbuster, and has been produced in part by Metronomy's Joe Mount.

Franz Ferdinand have had a quiet 2011 so far. They haven't played live since appearing at Belle And Sebastian's ATP festival in Minehead last December.

The tracklisting of 'Hellabuster' is:

'Seven Silvers'
'Radical Plains'
'Choco Pudding'
'Pour Moi'
'I Won’t Come Back'
'Nothing More Than Anything'
'Sandy Moffat'
'Inanimate Inamorato'
'My Room'
'No Trains'
