Franz Ferdinand have been announced as the headliner of next year's Field Day festival.
The Scottish band released their last album 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand' in January 2009 and haven't played a billed gig in the UK for almost two years, but have now confirmed their first UK show for next year.
Franz Ferdinand are confirmed to be joined at Field Day by the likes of Metronomy, The Vaccines, Beirut, Errors and Zulu Winter as well a series of other acts.
Field Day will take place on June 2 next year, which is much earlier in the year than it traditionally has been. It will once again be held in London's Victoria Park. More acts will be announced in the coming months.
See Fielddayfestivals.com for more information.
