Franz Ferdinand debut four new songs at intimate Ireland show - watch

Franz Ferdinand debuted four new songs during an intimate show in Limerick in Ireland on Saturday (May 19).

The tracks, which are titled 'Right Thoughts', 'Brief Encounters', 'Fresh Strawberries' and 'Trees And Animals', can all be heard by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.

The band also paid tribute to Donna Summer, who died on Friday (May 18), by performing a brief cover of her classic single 'I Feel Love'. You can also see that by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.

The new songs and cover formed part of a 17-song set that also included the band's live favourites 'Take Me Out', 'The Dark Of The Matinee' and 'This Fire'.

The Scottish band released their last album 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand' in January 2009 and have been working on its follow-up for the last year. They will now commence a run of live dates which includes Primavera Sound, Berlin Festival, Osheaga festival, Open'er fesival and London's Field Day.
