Franz Ferdinand to play last minute London gig tonight (July 5)

Band will play The Dalston Victoria ahead of fourth album release next month

Franz Ferdinand have announced details of a last-minute London gig tonight (July 5).

The band, who will release their fourth studio album 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action' in August, will play live at The Dalston Victoria in London tonight. Tickets are £15 on the door and served on a first come, first served basis. Doors are at 7:30. Telegram support with Veronica Falls DJs.


Last month, Franz Ferdinand unveiled two brand new songs from their new album, streaming 'Love Illumination' and 'Right Action' to their YouTube channel. The latter was produced by Hot Chip's Joe Goddard and Alexis Taylor. The record, which will be the band's fourth and is set to be released on August 26, will feature guest vocals from Roxanne Clifford of Veronica Falls and Todd Terje and Bjorn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John.

Earlier this year, Franz Ferdinand debuted seven new songs at a tiny gig at Glasgow venue Nice 'N' Sleazy, opening their set with three new songs: 'Trees & Animals', 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action' and 'Fresh Strawberries'.
