Franz Ferdinand unveil new video for 'Bullet' – watch

The band will tour the UK in March next year (2014)

Franz Ferdinand have unveiled a video for their track 'Bullet' – watch it above.

The track is the latest single to be taken from the band's fourth album 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action' and will be released on January 24, 2014.

The video was directed by Andy Knowles, who has also shot videos for The Cribs, The Vaccines, Clinic and Peaches.

"I’ve worked with the band in one way or another since their first gig, back in 2002, which was in my ex-girlfriend’s bedroom," Knowles said in a statement. "I wanted to capture a stripped back, honest performance and I think having a good relationship with the guys helped achieve this. The ‘bulletime’ effect was added to really draw out little moments that every fan will recognize as signature Franz live performance tics. The song is so fast, it demanded an equally dizzy editing style to really capture the energy."

The band have also announced details of a UK and Irish tour for 2014.

Franz Ferdinand will play:

London Roundhouse (March 14)
Brighton Dome (17)
Bristol O2 Academy (18)
Southampton Guildhall (19)
Birmingham O2 Academy (21)
Manchester Academy (22)
Dublin Olympia (23)
Glasgow Barrowlands (25)
Leeds O2 Academy (26)
Newcastle O2 Academy (27)
