QUEEN AND THE QUEEN'S HEAD

Freddie Mercury will feature on the new second class stamps...

Queen's Freddie Mercury will appear on the second class (19p) Millenium stamps issued by the Royal Mail which will go on sale on June 1.

Also sharing space with the Queen (as in Elizabeth Windsor) on the new stamps will be Bobby Moore (on the first class 26p stamp) and a Dalek (on the 44p stamp).

The stamps celebrate British achievements such as Mercury's Live Aid appearance, Moore's captaining England in the 1966 World Cup and presumable the partly-succesful conquest of the universe by the Daleks.
