Fun Lovin' Criminals frontman and BBC 6Music DJ Huey Morgan has stormed off the music quiz show Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

In an episode which was broadcast this evening (November 4) on the BBC, the singer smashed a mug next to team captain Phill Jupitus and teammate Laura Whitmore after turning against the programme's hosts for the evening, hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks. Scroll down to watch the incident.



Morgan appeared annoyed during the 'next lines' segment of the show, after being asked to complete lines from songs by his own band. "I just thought you guys might do something different for a change," he commented.

Morgan isn't the first contestant to walk off the gameshow. Ordinary Boys frontman Preston walked off the show in 2007, after host Simon Amstell repeatedly ridiculed his then-wife Chantelle Houghton's personal life and recently-published autobiography. Two years after the incident, he said he regretted his behaviour. "I'm struggling to think why I would have acted so weird," he said. "I wanted the floor to swallow up and eat me, so I did the next best thing and ran away, which is terrible, because I'm really not the sort of person to walk away from confrontation, I'm normally the sort of person to talk it out."
