Gabriella Cilmi wins big at AIRA Awards

Pop songstress Gabriella Cilmi swept the board at this year's Australian Recording Industry Association Awards in Sydney, taking home six gongs last night (October 19).

The 17 year-old won Single Of The Year, Highest Selling Single and Breakthrough Artist: Single for her UK Top Ten single 'Sweet About Me' and Breakthrough Artist: Album and Best Pop Release for her debut record 'Lessons To Be Learned'.

She also beat Kylie Minogue to the title of Best Female Artist.

Electro-duo The Presets were also big winners on the night, taking the ARIA for Album Of The Year and Best Dance Release - which also included Cut Copy in the nominations - for their album 'Apocalypso', as well as Best Group.
