Singer reveals what gives him the shivers…

Gallows’ frontman Frank Carter has revealed that he is petrified of whales.

The singer explained to NME.COM that his comparative size next to a whale was what first made him scared of the sea mammals.

“I first realised how big they were when I went to the Natural History Museum as a kid,” he said. “I’m not a big fella so that fucker could have swallowed me whole and not even noticed.

“I still get freaked out watching them on TV. I don’t even think I could ever be in a boat near one.”

To find out what the likes of Kasabian, The Reverend, John Lydon and The Pigeon Detectives are scared of, see the new Halloween issue of NME, out today (October 31).
