Gallows promise that their new album will be 'fucking amazing' - video

Wade MacNeil also opens up about 'closing the door' on Alexisonfire

Video: Gallows – ‘Our New Album Is Fucking Amazing’

Gallows have spoken about their self-titled new album and have promised that it is "fucking amazing".

The album, which is self-titled, is the band's first effort with former Alexisonfire man Wade MacNeil as their singer. MacNeil replaced former frontman Frank Carter in July 2011, with Carter having since gone on to form new band Pure Love.

Speaking to NME in a video which you can see at the top of the page, guitarist Laurent 'Lags' Barnard said that the band's new material had been going down superbly live and he couldn't wait to get the new album out.

He said: "The singles have had a great reaction. The album's fucking amazing and we can't wait to tour the new record. The first couple of songs are a really good representation of the album, one's super heavy, the other's really anthemic. If you're into good, heavy music then there's something there for you."

MacNeil also spoke about his former band Alexisonfire and their farewell tour, which comes to O2 Academy Brixton for two shows later this year.

Asked about this, he said: "We're [Gallows] touring our asses off up until then. Alexisonfire are doing a few shows and we're closing the door on that. It'll be nice to end that on a high note. Everybody's moved on and I want to put all my time into this."

Gallows will play a full UK tour in October, playing a total of 15 shows across the country.

The tour kicks off on October 3 in Brighton at the Haunt venue and runs until October 19, when the band headline London's Underworld. You can watch the video for the band's previous single 'Mondo Chaos' by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.
