Gary Glitter has been arrested by police in Vietnam who are investigating alleged child sex offences, according to reports.
Former glam rock star, real name Paul Francis Gadd, was detained at Ho Chi Minh airport while attempting to travel to Bangkok, BBC news reports.
Police say as part of the investigation, a 15 year old girl has also been interviewed.
Ministry spokesman Le Dung said: "If evidence of a (legal) violation is found against Mr. Paul Francis, and especially evidence of sexual child abuse, I believe that very strict legal measures will apply to him."
