Gary Glitter to be released from jail this month
Jailed former glam rocker to be set free in a few weeks
Gary Glitter is set to be released from jail in Vietnam on August 19.
Glitter was put behind bars in March 2006 for molesting two underage girls.
Chu Xuan Mau, an official at the jail where the former rocker is being held, revealed the release date to news agency AFP.
Glitter's original sentence was for three years, but it has been cut short under a Vietnamese national amnesty.
