Disgraced pop star has his request to leave the UK turned down
Gary Glitter has been banned from travelling to Spain via France.
The former pop star is on the UK sex offenders register, meaning he has to inform authorities of any travel plans seven days in advance.
Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, had an application turned down by Ashford Magistrates last Thursday (September 25).
BBC News, reports that the 64-year-old has the right to appeal the decision.
Glitter returned to the UK in August after serving 27 months in a Vietnamese jail for abusing two girls. He was jailed in the UK for four months in 1999 for possessing images of child abuse.
As a '70s pop star, he had hits such as 'I'm the Leader of the Gang (I Am)' and 'Hello, Hello, I'm Back Again'.
