LIVERPOOL PLANS TRIBUTE TO BEATLE GEORGE

A charity concert in memory of the late George Harrison is to be held in his native LIVERPOOL.

No acts are yet announced for the show at the Liverpool Empire on February 24, the date that would have marked George Harrison's 59th birthday. However, the event is being organised by the local Liverpool Council and local media outlets.

According to the Liverpool Echo newspaper, the proceeds of the event will go to he Macmillan Cancer Relief Fund. George Harrison died following a long battle against cancer in November last year (November 30).

Tickets for the show went on sale today priced £17.50 and £12.50.
