BEATLE GEORGE 'VERY SICK'

Reports suggest the Beatles legend's latest treatment could be his last chance...

BEATLE GEORGE HARRISON, who has been battling cancer for some time, is reportedly back in hospital undergoing further treatment.

Harrison is at the Staten Island University Hospital in New York under the name George Arrias, the maiden name of his wife Olivia. According to the Daily Telegraph, he is under the care of Dr Gil Lederman, a pioneer of revolutionary treatment for cancer sufferers.

"George is very sick," a source has said. "He looks like he does not have long to go. He is very frail and gaunt."

Dr Lederman offers a treatment called sterotactic radiosurgery. it delivers powerful doses of radiation with pinpoint accuracy at tumours without destroying surrounding healthy tissue. Harrison was treated for a brain tumour earlier this year and has also fought lung and throat cancer.

It had appeared Harrison was recovering when he recorded a new track - 'A Horse To Water', co-written by his son Dhani - with Jools Holland at his Swiss home in early October. The track will appear on Holland's album 'Small World, Big Friends', due for release in the UK on November 19.
