GEORGE SAVES THE QUEEN?

UK tabloid reports that the above is not in fact a week-old April Fool...

Queen will reform eight years after the death of Freddie Mercury with George Michael taking over the vocal chores, according to The Express and that the band would be in the studio this year.

Actually, The Express just pulled the George Michael bit from a "music industry rumour" and there's no confirmation that this is in fact the case.

"We're not thinking of anyone taking Freddie's place permanently. I think that this is just the right time to get together again," drummer Roger Taylor told the paper.

Meanwhile, George Michael has confirmed that he is back in the studio working on a new track called 'Y2K'.
