Being in charge of a vehicle while unfit charge

George Michael will face an extra charge at his drugs trial, a court heard today (March 7).

At Brent Magistrates’ Court in London prosecutor Andrew Torrington added the charge of being in charge of a vehicle while unfit through drugs.

The singer was arrested on October 1 last year on suspicion of being unfit to drive and for possession of a substance believed to be cannabis. He was charged before Christmas with being unfit to drive through drugs.

A new trial date is yet to be set, but Yahoo News reports that it will be arranged for May or June.
