George Michael: 'I promise I'll sort myself out'
Singer apologises to fans after arrest for drug possession
George Michael has apologised to fans and promised to 'sort myself out' following his arrest for drug possession on Friday (September 19).
Michael was arrested in a public toilet in London on suspicion of possessing class A and class C drugs.
The singer was given a caution, despite it being believed that one of the drugs in his possession was crack cocaine.
In a statement, Michael said: "I want to apologise to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them I'll sort myself out. And to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them."
Michael has had a history of troubles with the law – he was arrested for lewd conduct in a public toilet in Beverly Hills in 1998, and pleaded guilty in 2007 to driving while unfit after using drugs.
