Singer admits to driving under the influence and possession of cannabis

George Michael has pleaded guilty in court to driving under the influence of drugs and possessing cannabis.
The singer crashed into a branch of Snappy Snaps in Hampstead in July and was charged with the offences earlier this month, entering his plea today (August 24) at Highbury Magistrates Court in London, reports BBC News.
He spoke only to enter his plea and confirm his personal details at the court, after a media scrum had followed him outside.
The date of his sentencing is yet to be confirmed.
