George Michael has rescheduled the remaining dates of his 'Symphonica' tour for later this year.

The singer was forced to postpone the shows, which were due to take place in the autumn of 2011, after he was diagnosed with pneumonia. He is currently recovering and will resume performing live in September.

The tour, which will see the singer performing live with a large orchestra, now begins at Birmingham's LG Arena on September 16 and runs until October 17 when he plays the final show of three at London's Earls Court.

The singer has also announced that he has donated 1,000 tickets for his show in Vienna on September 4 to the medical staff who cared for him while he was in hospital in the city.

Speaking about this, George Michael said: "I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you first to the doctors and nurses who saved my life and took such great care of me and to all my fans, family and friends for their love and support. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone."

George Michael will play:

Birmingham LG Arena (September 16, 17)
Manchester Evening News Arena (21, October 9)
Glasgow SECC (23, 24)
London Royal Albert Hall (29)
Sheffield Motorpoint Arena (October 1)
Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (3)
