Gerard Way teases secret gig prior to Reading & Leeds appearances

Former My Chemical Romance frontman will play first solo show in Britain later this month

Gerard Way has teased the possibility of playing a secret gig in the UK prior to his appearance at the Reading and Leeds Festivals later this month.

As previously revealed, Way will play his first solo date since the My Chemical Romance split at the British festival between August 22 and 24. However, in a new interview with Kerrang, the singer states that he may stage a warm-up show prior to the festival.

"I may play a secret show. That would be wise," he said. "It would be very wise to play a secret show, actually. I just don't now where."

Way recently announced details of his debut solo album 'Hesitant Alien', stating that the album is inspired by bands such as Pulp, Blur and Sleater-Kinney.

The album will be released on September 29 and will be available to pre-order from August 19. Fans who pre-order the album will receive the tracks 'Action Cat' and 'No Shows' instantly.
