GERI GOOD!

The incredible shrinking woman returns with a number one...

GERI GOOD!

GERI HALLIWELL went straight into the UK chart at Number One today (May 5) as her cover of 'IT'S RAINING MEN' moved S CLUB 7's 'DON'T STOP MOVIN' to second place after only a week at the top.

Jennifer Lopez moved in at Three with 'Play' while M.O.P. with 'Cold As Ice', the track that samples Foreigner''s soft rock classic, showed strongly at Four. REM also made a notable return to the chart as their 'Imitation Of Life' went in at Six. There were no other new entries on the Top Ten.

Former Boyzone star Stephen Gately helped put some life into his stuttering solo career as 'Stay' charted at 13, while Jason Downs ft Milk saw the only other entry on the top 20 with 'White Boy With A Feather' at 19.

Between 20 and 30 there were places for Push with 'Strange World' at 21, Bel Amour with 'Bell Amour' at 23 and Alsou with 'Before You Love Me' at 27.

Further down the 40 there were entries for Black Eyed Peas ft Macy Gray, Turin Brakes, K-CI & Jojo, Wookie and English Eurovision hopeful Lindsay, who could only reach a disappointing 32 with 'No Dream Impossible'.

In the album charts, Destiny's Child repeated their single success, taking 'Survivor' in at the top. There were no other entries on the Top Ten.
