Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly put on special Proms show

Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly singer Sam Duckworth put on a special BBC Electric Proms performance tonight (October 27) at the Camden Barfly.

The Emo-folk outfit roped in beat-box musician Killer Kela and DJ Buddy Peace for the one off "abstract jazz kind of hip hop" show.

The singer also pulled in an extra brass player for the gig which saw the star roll off a short 40 minute set comprising tracks from his debut album 'Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager'.

The highlight of the set was recent single and Part One of the LP's title track, which the crowd sang back at the band.

Speaking about the performance after the show, Duckworth told NME.COM: "It was absolutely amazing. It was something I've wanted to do for a long time especially with Buddy and Kela. They're kind of two people I'm really into so it's great to have them as part of what we're doing and bring everything else in and bring it all alive.

"We took it back to an abstract jazz kind of hip hop vibe tonight. We just let it fly a bit more."

The singer also praised the Proms and said it allowed bands to do something a bit different.

He added: "I think this event is an amazing idea because it allows bands like Guillemots and Kasabian to do something special by bringing in an orchestra. It is allowing people to experiment and do things differently."

Get Cape will now hit the road for a UK tour early next year.
