Disco producer Giorgio Moroder has revealed that he will work with Lady Gaga on the singer's new album, stating he has "about five or six tracks" prepared.

In an interview with Popjustice about his collaboration with Britney Spears, the producer divulged information about another future partner. "I was supposed to be in the studio with [Gaga] a week ago, but I got a cold," he said.

"I’ll see her when I’m back. I have about five or six tracks, just basic ideas. Drums, keyboard, bass. I’m going to be surprised, I think – I don’t have a clue about the way she’s recording. Will she play the piano? Will I?"

Moroder added that there was a possibility Gaga could also appear on his own forthcoming album. "This is for her new album – that’s the intention," he said. "I was hoping that maybe I can convince her to have one of the songs for my album. If I could convince her, well that would be incredible."

In November, Moroder announced details of his first solo album in 30 years, '74 Is The New 24'. The record will feature a series of guest stars, including Charli XCX, Sia, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Mikky Ekko, and Foxes.

Moroder, who worked on Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories' in 2013, is due to release the album this Spring.
