Girls Aloud 'porn murder blog' trial set
Man who allegedly wrote an offensive story about the band has appeared in court
A date for the trial of South Shields resident Darryn Walker, who is accused of writing an "obscene" fictional story in which the members of Girls Aloud are raped, murdered and mutilated, has been set.
Walker, who was charged under the Obscene Publications Act, must stand trial in Newcastle on March 16 next year.
He appeared in Newcastle Crown Court today (October 22) to learn the date, reports BBC News. He is yet to enter a plea and was granted unconditional bail.
Earlier this month Walker was prosecuted for allegedly uploading the Girls Aloud blog to a porn website.
