Girls Aloud's Nadine Coyle sets up her own record label
Singer also signs an album deal with Tesco
Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle has set up her own record label as part of her plans to release a solo LP.
In a deal which will also see supermarket chain Tesco stock her debut album 'Insatiable', the 25-year old has decided to follow a similar path to Faithless, who earlier this year signed a deal with the supermarket.
Her collaboration with the company means the record will be sold exclusively in their stores when it is released on November 8.
Coyle is also planning to release digital copies of her record through iTunes and Amazon along with Tesco's own download store.
"The traditional model for selling an album isn't the only way of doing things," Coyle told BBC News. "To be able to create an album where you are in complete control of your own work is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an artist."
