Girls Aloud are set to reunite for a live comeback next year.

The group's manager Hilary Shaw has revealed plans to mark the decade since they were put together on ITV talent show Popstars: The Rivals.

She told The People: "Everybody wants them to make a comeback and it will be next year. Well, it is their 10th anniversary so there will be something."

Shaw added that a new studio album is unlikely, but said the girls are "getting on great".

"They speak all the time, and that includes Cheryl [Cole] and Nadine [Coyle] with the other girls. Cheryl is keen to get back with the girls and is planning something which could be a one-off or some gigs."

The band's last studio album, 'Out Of Control', was released in 2008.

Since then Cole and Coyle have both launched solo careers, with bandmate Nicola Roberts rumoured to be planning to follow suit.

Meanwhile, Kimberley Walsh has moved into television presenting while Sarah Harding is trying to launch an acting career.
