Girls have announced details of their biggest UK headline show to date.

The San Francisco band, who released their second studio album 'Father, Son, Holy Ghost' in September last year, will play the London HMV Forum on May 28.

The duo, who are comprised of frontman Christopher Owens and bass player Chet 'JR' White, will also play a leg of European dates including three shows in France, and have also been confirmed for this year's Primavera Sound festival in Spain.

Last September, Owens admitted that 'Father, Son, Holy Ghost' documented his ongoing drug addiction to "serious, very heavy opiates".

Speaking about his problem with substances, he said: "I have to get clean, otherwise I have a bad attitude, or I'm looking for it all the time, or I get sick on the road. I've done this for every tour. Getting rid of this shit is literally the worst hell you can imagine. I don't know why I always go back to it, but I do."

Girls will play:

London HMV Forum (May 28)
Lille Le Grand Mix (29)
Paris Cite De La Musique Festival (30)
Marseille Cabaret Aletoire (31)
