Glastonbury get another new bands stage
BBC stage will showcase upcoming bands and artists
Glastonbury are to launch a new music stage this year with the BBC.
Upcoming bands and artists such as The Ting Tings and Riff Raff will make up the 24 bands who will perform.
Each artist was chosen by a panel of "music experts", including the likes of DJ Steve Lamacq.
The stage marks the launch of 'BBC Introducing...', which will bring together new music shows across the BBC radio networks, including Huw Stephens' programme, which will be renamed 'Huw Stephens Introducing'.
It will provide opportunities for new artists to be seen and heard, through live slots and broadcasts.
BBC stations involved in the scheme include Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6 Music, the Asian Network and local and national stations in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
